Important Rules About Using Fallen
1. ) Lucifer and his five lieutenants (Belial, Abaddon, Dagon, Asmodeus and Azreal) as well as any Earthbound demon cannot be applied for. So don't ask.
2. ) You cannot Possess or Thrall someone without first asking their permission and both of you informing the Admin of the decision, for obvious reasons.
3. ) Despite being ageless creatures that have existed since the dawn of Creation, Fallen are limited in the extent of their power on account of being absent from Creation for so long.
Fallen are applied for based on Rank, which functions similarly to rank for Garou, age for Kindred, etc. Inexperienced/new Fallen applicants will be limited to Fell Knight rank at most. See below for a more detailed explanation.
4. ) Fallen are given a pool of dots to distribute amongst their Lores at character creation at your leisure. Depending on their rank, this will vary in number.
5. ) If you wish to apply for a Fallen of higher Rank, be warned that the application may or may not be accepted. The application will require detailed descriptions of all important events in their history since escaping from the Abyss.
6. ) Here are the starting number of dots for each Fallen rank...
Fell Knight - Between 5 and 7 dots maximum.
Lord - Between 8 and 14 dots maximum.
Overlord - Between 15 to 20 dots maximum.</li>
7. ) Fallen can only advance along their knowledge of Lores by requesting a scene from the Admin. The character can advance no more than two dots per year in any Lore.
8. ) Out-of-House Lores can be bought by the same process, but doing so means they can only buy one dot in whichever Out-of-House Lore they want for the price of the two extra dots for in-House Lores.
9. ) Please register the Fallen character under their mortal host's name. Even though they are (former) celestial beings, they still are technically mortal in the host. Please place your Fallen's Celestial Name and their True Name in the "Alias(es)" category.
Like so...
Name: John Smith
Alias(es): Ishmael (Celestial Name), the sound of a tree falling in the woods with nobody around to hear it (True Name)
10. ) When selecting your Fallen's Apocalyptic Form, don't forget to add a description in the Appearance category as well as detail both the low-Torment and high-Torment aspects of their Visage in the Misc category like so...
Appearance: (description of my Fallen's Apocalyptic Form goes here)
-
Misc: Apocalyptic Form Traits - (low-Torment) Wings, Lordly Mien, Supernatural Awareness, Radiant Aura; (high-Torment) Claws/Teeth, Scales, Wings, Dread Gaze
Please note that there is a limit to the aspects of their Visage. Eight (four low-Torment Traits and four high-Torment Traits) maximum. No exception. And please make a note when selecting traits which of the aspects are low-Torment and high-Torment.
11. ) Please remember to consult the Hierarchy of Sins to determine where your Fallen stands in their Torment. This will determine whether your character is succumbing to, or alternatively rejecting, his Demonic side and suffering the full memory of his Torment in the Abyss.
Low-Torment Fallen who embrace their more human and Angelic side find it provides them with... unexpected results.
